I lead a team that provides investigative forensic analytics and builds a continuous monitoring platform focused on Integrity and anti-corruption topics.

As a member of a bleeding-edge data analytics team, I:- helped lead the technical transition to Alteryx, our new data analytics platform- sustainably developed complex automated data munging routines to prepare large datasets for further analysis and presentation- Partnered with our Internal Audit customers to deliver controls analyses visualized with Tableau- Implemented a formal change management process over Alteryx and Tableau development which meets the needs of our large and globally distributed team.

Porcupine Supernova LLC is the umbrella under which I perform software development activities. While most projects are experimental, occasionally a project will reach a point of maturity for public release. We currently have 2 products available to the public:- TimeGiver: An Android app designed to mitigate the effects of jet lag- Arborist: A free and open source tool to streamline the creation of root cause trees

I am a part of a dynamic audit team that is exploring the frontiers of internal audit data analysis. Notable projects have included:- Eliminating the risk of loss and corruption of our analytic scripts by implementing an access-controlled change management process using Git and BitBucket.- Developing and managing a centralized database to store our analytic results. This saves us hours each month by streamlining reporting and gives us greater flexibility to explore reporting and visualization solutions by providing all of our data in one easy-to-access location.- Expanding our analytic and audit coverage over T&E processes by designing and automating an ETL process for Concur data.- Improving our risk assessment and control monitoring efforts by implementing analytics covering a variety of processes, including Financial, Payroll, Legal Compliance, and T&E.- Saving our auditors hours of time on each audit and reducing errors by creating an expansive suite of data extracting scripts covering a wide variety of processes and systems.

My responsibilities at the Racine Plant focus on forecasting and budgeting, monthly close duties, ad-hoc financial analysis, lean manufacturing cost tracking, and government reporting. Noted projects include:Moving away from forecasting manufacturing volumes based on tracking models to a more detailed method that explodes material, labor, and burden using planning part numbers and the MRP bills of material.Leading an effort to establish a plant-focused SQL Server-based data warehouse.Re-designing the current collection of month-end reporting spreadsheets to be easier to update and less prone to errors.Working with plant operations management to develop automated reports focused on key metrics and areas of interest.

As a member of an audit team, I conducted a variety of compliance and operational audits, including accounts payable, manufacturing conversion cycle, travel expense, marketing discounts, fixed assets, and payroll, with particular attention paid to designing tests to cover 100% of the test population. Noted accomplishments include:Identified $76,000 of annual savings from scrap sales.Identified over $1,000,000 of lost revenue from marketing discounts which resulted in over $200,000 of chargebacks.Scripted a repository of enhanced ACL functions and began work on continuous monitoring scripts.Developed SAP queries to efficiently pull large datasets for payable, sales, and warranty analyses.

Developed data collection and analysis systems for lean manufacturing, including performance-tracking software for the machining cells and matrix systems to assist management in cost-cutting decision making.
