The title in which I was assigned at Adidas was only a small percentage of what my actual role within the company was. I spent two extremely pleasurable years there, learning lots about different aspects of business, such as marketing, retail, visualisation and the different ways in which you should approach different individuals. I was able to gain an insight into key interpersonal concepts such as, group cohesion and how a happy work force is vital in achieving success. I felt that myself as a person was someone who anyone could talk to about anything and someone who was easy to get along with, organising different events in an attempt to strengthen cohesion within the group. With my foot firmly in the door with a global sales firm, the opportunity to put into practice what I had learnt from my time at Adidas, in terms of salesmanship was vital. I found that techniques in which I had been taught and what I had picked up myself stood me in good stead to be able to sell products to a select market.
