I am an ambassador of mathematics, role model to students, and teacher leader within my school community. I believe it is essential to adapt to the needs of 21st century learners, to integrate technology into curriculum, and help support students as they find their identities in the math classroom. I work to ensure the intellectual needs of my students are met. Whether through exploration and traditional teaching methods or using innovative hands-on projects, I strive to cultivate creative and critical thinking. My role enables me to convey the message that all students can be successful in thinking mathematically and to show students how skills they develop in mathematics coursework enables them to explore their world and create personal and meaningful change.
