Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to; contributing to the development of testing concepts and techniques. Responsible for inspecting quality of work produced on machines, lines served or incoming from suppliers. Inspect products for workmanship, dimensional specs, tolerances and usability from a functional standpoint. Conducts production sampling and receiving inspection. Collect and organize inspection data into report format presentable to management and requesting organizations. Prepare written reports for in-process inspection and may make recommendations for procedural changes. Perform special projects as needed by Engineering and Global Manufacturing. Supervise inspectors involved in inspection test activities. Perform testing using tools such as drop arms, vibration tables, temperature chambers, etc. Perform duties to including working knowledge of ESD practices. Responsible for interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Check for workmanship, dimensional specs, tolerances and usability from a functional standpoint. Conducts Production Line sampling by auditing finished goods for completeness and functionality. Read blueprints and diagrams using some judgment and discretion in determining the workability of the sub-assemblies and assemblies inspected. Use SPC knowledge for quality inspections.
