“Why?” is the question I’m normally led with.From a young age, I’ve often been curious about how things work, or why things do what they do; left unsatisfied with simply accepting that something works without knowing what’s behind the curtain.Naturally, this put me onto an education trajectory towards the sciences. When I discovered engineering, I found a tangible and real outlet for this curiosity.Years later, I’ve completed my bachelor’s and professional doctorate (EngD) in Materials Engineering armed with an array of skills to propel me forward. I’ve since challenged myself with varying roles within the research and higher education environment.This same “Why?” features throughout my life, driving my relentless personal interest in the field of health and self-development; most recently, taking the form of handling ever-present ‘stress’ more effectively, and developing a proactive mindset of empowerment instead.Congruent with my personal values, I bring a caring, hard-working, and considered approach to what I do. If I could distil my personal attitude into a simple concept, it would have to be this:“How can I add value?”
