Line of Business - Technology and Administration Solutions (TAS)- Automation of bespoke pensions calculations taking into account scheme rules, government legislation and client specific needs – always considering the bigger picture to create an efficient solution. Using Python programming, with some legacy work done in Fortran.- Code multi-relational complex reports using SQL (Oracle) based on the pension data we hold for clients.- Code bulk data-cleaning using SQL.- Code letter merge fields using Windward (AutoTag).- UNIX (AIX) ksh shell scripting.- Understanding business requirements and devising efficient solutions using the appropriate software.- I devised a very efficient way of running a huge report, incorporating 100 SQL scripts, conditionally run through a UNIX shell script.

Mainly involved in SSAS pension schemes; I provide calculations for clients with regard to maximum pensions, Scheme pensions, loan repayments - always conforming to current legislation. I also inform clients of the impact of government legislation on their pension fund.
