Since 2013 I've been a laborer for local 563 laborer's union. I've spent most of the last 10 years working for Floor Technologies as a general laborer installing acoustic sound insulation, delivering materials with a class B commercial driver's license, pouring and finishing gypcrete. I was a pump operator for around 2.5 years with our fireproofing division working with various types of pumps and equipment, prepping work area, cleanup, assembling/dismantling scaffolding and sometimes operating lull boomlifts, jlg and scissor lifts for extended periods of time. When work slowed at Floortech I got more training in hazmat and asbestos abatement and found a job at E.P.S. through the trainer. At E.P.S. I hung poly for building containments and abated asbestos. I was also farmed out to Gagnon at the Flint Hills refinery to demo and assist in spraying refractory in heaters during turnaround. I've also worked on several decorative, flake and moisture mitigating epoxies at Floortech.
