Thomas Lisa is an Asian-American community leader. He is currently a sophomore at the Colorado School of Mines in Golden, Colorado. He is studying a degree in computer science with a specialty in robotics and intelligent systems. He is an experienced and adaptable individual with a demonstrated history of working in the service and tutoring industries. Aside from academics and employment, Thomas has also completed one year in the Air Force ROTC program, teaching him followership and leadership, along with teamwork and adaptability. Thomas hopes to continue in the program and gain a commission into the United States Air Force.Born and raised in Nevada, Thomas graduated from Northwest Career and Technical Academy in the summer of 2023 with an advanced honors diploma. Throughout his time at Northwest, Thomas has consistently displayed an outstanding commitment to his academics, his job, and participating in extracurricular activities. In 2023, Thomas received the Outstanding English Department Award for Excellence in Academics. He graduated as the Salutatorian, with a weighted Grade Point Average of 5.46. Thomas has always been a dedicated community volunteer, student, and employee. He has aspirations for gaining experience in engineering and its real-world applications, and he strives to be more involved in his local community to make it a better place.
