I am a graduate from Birmingham City University, on the Computer Games Technology course. As a part of my course, I have gathered plenty of experience working with game engines including Unity and Unreal Engine, and other software including Visual Studio, HTML 5 and Python. My passion from the course came from my love of video games, mainly racing, puzzles and action-adventure. My most favourite part of game development is the user interface design, and for the group projects we have done on the course, I have always worked as part of the UI design team, so a job role to do with UI design is ideal for me.Prior to the course, I studied at Cadbury College from 2019 to 2021, doing Media Studies, Geography and IT. Media and IT took centre stage for me due to my passion of video games and technology, whilst Geography was more of a backup plan in case I wasn’t able to get on a course. I managed to achieve two B’s, in Media and IT, and a D in Geography. Despite not spending as much time at College as I would have liked due to the coronavirus pandemic and the lockdown in 2020, I still enjoyed my time there as I met most of my friends there during my time, and had several exciting trips across the country as part of the Geography course.I also have previous work experience as I was a Food and Beverage Attendant at the Ramada Hotel in Solihull from 2021 to 2023. The hotel acted as a refugee facility whilst I worked there, with there being people from different parts of the world being allowed to stay for as long as they needed. My role as part of the team was serving the hotel guests breakfast, lunch and dinner, and cleaning up the restaurant after the meal service was completed. I was able to learn and develop several skills during my time there, as working on the Food and Beverage team required strong communication and teamwork. I did enjoy my time working at the hotel, but I made the decision to leave in order to fully focus on the final year of my university course. When you work with me, you can always expect a hard-working attitude and mindset, as well as multiple perspectives on any issues that you might have. I also look forward to working as part of a team, as I can provide a supportive role to the other members. Whilst I might not be the team leader straight away, I will always try to pick up some tips on how to lead, before I feel that I’m ready to lead a project. I am also a big fan of sports, mainly football and Formula One, and enjoy watching any match and race I can in my spare time. If interested, you can reach out to me via my email.
