By ensuring the most efficient and effective systems are in place the end product is the best it can be and time and effort saved can be reinvested into customer experience.My most recent role saw me facilitating the delivery of education in animal care. Facilitating the teaching of this subject is technically complex with a myriad of ancillary duties to be performed and a living breathing teaching resource to be maintained. This provided a wide range of challenges to be overcome ensuring the best possible systems developed and deployed ensuing all available rescores were accessible and of the high quality so that teaching staff could focus on delivering the circularium and maximising student experience, all the while ensuring that the highest levels of animal welfare were maintained. While studying for my degree in animal biology I under took work in the leisure industry working a zero hours contract allowed me to focus during my studies during term time as well as work full time when available to do so. I worked mainly as a lifeguard but picked up additional duties and latter progressed to management. This provided me with a wealth of experiences before I secured full time employment in my chosen field of animal care. Outside of work my passion for the natural world spills over into my personal exotic insect collection that I have maintained for many years. My affinity for problem solving and systems development manifests as a love of gaming. Not just computer games i also enjoy a wide range of table top and board games including the card game Magic the Gathering in which I regularly achieve top results in local events. This also lead travelling across Europe to participate in larger tournaments. Success in such events lead to me achieving minor pro player status for a time.
