Delivering a 14-week training syllabus to all adult recruits aged between 17 – 34 years old wishing to join the British Army. Instructing recruits in small teams of up to 12 to a Troop Level of up to 48, in a variety of military aspects from skill at arms (weapon handling and firing), military knowledge and fieldcraft. Team skills and leadership and much more to develop the individual in a progressive manner.• Accountable for conducting frequent assessments, testing and appraisals throughout the recruit’s syllabus keeping them informed on progress with guided coaching and mentoring. Ensuring I stay within the policy and procedures and the sustainability and welfare of both recruits and the staff during the 14-week syllabus.• Being physically and mentally robust enough to maintain high standards in all areas while applying the core values and standards of the British Army to everyday life. Improving the standard of recruit confidence and turn out to have the instructor perform as well as what is being taught, creating team cohesion with both staff and recruits.• Preparing and Teaching lessons for the recruits while constantly assessing the recruit’s knowledge and abilities to make sure they can pass the assessments required in training. Whilst liaising with staff, around their lessons in the training programme organising times, locations and if the lessons are away from the training centre, then making sure vehicles, food and other administration is available.

Working on a 48-hour notice to deploy, making sure all vehicles and personal equipment and qualifications were in date and regulated when deployed to Ukraine. • Exceptional ability to write multiple reports for tasks whilst on a Plant section commanders’ course, considering cost management, risk, method statements, etc. to lead small plant operating teams as a Project Manager to deliver ground working tasks around the world varying in costs with some tasks being over £10,000.• Overseeing the responsibility of 3 vehicles, each costing over £500,000 each to take high value personal through Kabul, liaising with departments to maintain and complete all administration so they can be available to short notice deployments. overseeing the other drivers, organising concurrent training to uphold high standards when representing the British Army abroad, with the ability of quick decisions and problem-solving skills.• Dealing with a 48 hour stand by for 12 months. Not knowing when a notice to move will be called. Having machines maintained and personal qualifications and equipment up to date was vital. Prioritizing multiple circumstances if personal weren’t in date for annual training or if equipment needed changing, having to act quickly. When called a Brigade of over 500 personnel had to work together to deploy to Ukraine within 48 hours carrying over £1000 worth of equipment each.

Maintaining machines worth over £60,000, in small teams to make sure they were to a high standard to deploy around the country and the world to be used, and to have the knowledge and assets to use and maintain the machines in some challenging environments.• Responsible for preparing Machinery and equipment for transportation by road and assisting with onward movements to an exercise in Germany, I was tasked with assisting other Engineers in challenging time frames moving and erecting HESCO whilst excavating trenches, having to make quick decisions when problem solving issues were encountered.• Dealing with the hiring company ALC, to make sure plant machinery were legal to use, transport and deploy anywhere within the world. Overseeing the coming months to plan any servicing or legal requirements needed and to organise extra administration and documents if requirements couldn’t be carried out at ALC’s location. • Utilized in Cyprus to clear and level a 100m² of the ground to create a future area for engineering tasks to take place making it safer and sustainable to use, within a time frame of 1 month and completed to a high standard. Using multiple machinery clearing rubble and debris, then compacting the ground calculating the time it would take for each task.

This provided the opportunity to gain a 2nd year Visa and gain knowledge in a vast area of construction and how best to tackle the tasks for the future when faced with them.• Administrating different departments while in Australia moving back to the UK, having to deal with transport, gaining relevant documentation the British Army required and dealing with accommodation, organizing all multiple projects in Australia and the UK to within strict time frames and budget with a main priority being the expiry of the Visa.
