Dads Rock runs services for dads and families in Edinburgh. We offer free weekend playgroups for Dads and their kids. From ages 0-5 years old. We run in three locations every Saturday Morning 10-1130 am, at Whale Arts Agency, 30 Westburn Grove, and The Prentice Centre, Granton Mains Ave, and The Venchie in Craigmillar. To date secured £357,000 worth of funding.Built strong working partnerships with: Edinburgh College, Edinburgh Council, Fife Gingerbread, PEEK project Glasgow, Scottish Prison Service, The prentice centre, etc. Built a strong network within Edinburgh and Scotland of parenting organisations. Liaising directly with the NHS, local councils, and Scottish Government ministers, local and national media.Developed/facilitated group outings, most of which are free. Dads Rock Academy is a Social Enterprise, with the aim of instilling a passion for music in families in Scotland, and making it as easy as possible for them to access music tuition.We currently run Dads Rock Academy in Edinburgh College, with over 60 students. We have 30 volunteers. We provide weekly tuition and a free instrument.
