At Schneider, I both oversaw our service maintenance activities and personally repaired our fleet equipment. With this, I was involved in planning and executing the upkeep and organization of our fleet, supervising techs, and managing our fleet inventory. On the administrative side of things, I billed for all labor and equipment accrued during assessments.

For a brief time, I assisted with remodeling work at residential and commercial construction sites, repairing construction vehicles as well as installing roofing and siding. My time here was brief due to a seasonal layoff after which I spent time going back to school to completing my Associate’s Degree in Diesel and Industrial Technology.

Here I completed installs, wiring, and preventative/emergency maintenance on windmills and industrial equipment (cranes, hydraulic machines, etc.). I also maintained a full fleet of diesel trucks.

With my background in the Army and Military Police, I worked at a correctional facility for a year enforcing facility rules. On any given day, I oversaw the activities of between 60 and 70 inmates with involvement in their rehabilitation and counseling, transport to and from the facility, and generally maintaining security.

In this early role after finishing up my time with the Army I took on a supervisory role overseeing a crew of 6-8. With this, I was responsible for managing, inspecting, and providing guidance on maintenance and repair work on construction equipment within a 4-state radius (NM, AZ, TX, and CO).

• I spent 7-years with the Army before being honorably discharged at an E5 rank. Over the years I served in the following areas:
• Served in the 101st Airborne unit stationed at Ft. Campbell, KY. Worked as a Fire Marshall for multiple years overseeing that all fire safety equipment was in order.
• Served as an Ammo Sergeant controlling over 25,000 pieces of ammo supplies, such as bullets, explosives, etc. as well as maintaining logs and billing on all supplies.
• Oversaw 8 hummers and 5-ton vehicles.
• Assigned to HHC 1/327th INF Regiment, Military Police and worked as a Squad Leader then eventually as a Sergeant.
