Prior to that assignment, I was Lieutenant of the Field Operations Division of the department, which is staffed by two sergeants and 10 officers. I coordinated the entry of information into departmental databases, and attended meetings as a department representative.I previously was lieutenant of the Special Services division, where I coordinated public service events through schools, public events and senior citizen centers. I was also the lieutenant in charge of the Clerical Staff. I ensured that vacations and overtime were distributed fairly, and tracked sick time and absences. I was responsible for ensuring that warrants were entered properly in the departmental computer systems.Prior to that I oversaw operations at the Cumberland County Courthouse, supervising two sergeants and 24 officers. Challenges included coordination with judges, the county Department of Corrections and various county and state agencies to ensure the safety and security of the employees and the thousands of visitors to the courthouse each month.As lieutenant and sergeant of Internal Affairs, I was responsible for investigating complaints against officers and employees of the department. I ensured that investigations were conducted according to the Attorney General Internal Affairs Policy and Procedures and departmental policies and procedures. I also chose and trained my replacement for the position within the division,I have extensive Emergency Management experience, was the Emergency Management liaison for over 16 years. I was assigned to the County Emergency Operations Center during disasters and exercises. I was the quartermaster for the department, and was also the fleet manager.
