In his role at the Rocky Mountain Flight Training Center, Tom ensures student success through strict adherence to the USAF approved flight school syllabus and the use of visual aids/computer-based technology. Additionally, his adaptive teaching style and technical knowledge makes him a valuable asset to students struggling with challenging concepts.Prior to taking to the skies, Tom served in a number of integral roles within the United States Coast Guard. As a Commanding Officer, Tom was selected to lead over 90 personnel responsible for safety and security at ports both domestically and abroad. Later, as the Chief of Expeditionary Operations, Tom was selected as a Go-Team Emergency Response leader, where he managed personnel and maritime support during critical incidents such as Hurricane’s Gustav, Ike, and the Haitian Earthquake.As Deputy Chief, Tom led the development of a waterside security/support system responsible for protecting infrastructure points along the Saudi Arabian coastline. To ensure mission success, he communicated effectively with multi-national leaders on budgetary, timeline, and manpower needs to ensure the project moved forward without pause. Today, Tom manages this project for over 5000 Saudi personnel as a Senior Training and Development Manager for Performance Excellence Partners, LLC.
