Most extensively, is the design and construction of water storage tanks and reservoirs - surface, elevated, or completely buried. Preload tanks have also been widely employed in sanitary (wastewater) engineering and liquid conditioning; as sludge digesters, clarifiers, floculators and thickeners, as well as for sedimentation, aeration and filter tanks. Preload confirmed the suitability of prestressed concrete for cryogenic storage in 1952 with the construction of two liquified oxygen tanks. Among the numerous applications of Preload's cryogenic technology since that date are two (2) 100,000cu.m. liquified natural gas (LNG) tanks for the Philadelphia Gas Works, constructed in 1974 and still in service today, two (2) 143,000cu.m. LNG tanks for Distrigas in Staten Island, NY, and three (3) tanks for Enegas in Barcelona, Spain; again, still in service today. The Promotion of AWWA D110 Type III storage tanks for thermal energy Storage, waste water treatement and storage and water storage.

Oversaw the design and construction of prestressed concrete tanks for storage including tanks in Vail, Berthoud, Loveland and Granby Colorado. A tank in San Clemente, CA as well as many tanks thoughout the Northeast and Midwest.

Worked with the Chief Engineer to confirm the stresses when handling precast concrete panels. Also worked with the chief engineer to develop the methodology for "Two Way Flat Slab and Column" design and construction. Specific "flat slab roof" projects include tanks in Vail, CO, Lincoln, MA and Granby, CO.
