Within LSBU's School of the Built Environment & Architecture, I am the Senior Administrator for Research, Enterprise, and Internationalisation. I manage the School's portfolio of projects through research administration, developing work packages, and maintaining communications with senior stakeholders.My specialist areas include:1) Research administration e.g. REF2021 submission, supporting research centres/groups, open access compliance etc.2) Large data collection e.g. REF2021, NSS, TEF, League Tables etc.3) Marketing e.g. producing adverts, marketing courses, content for social media and blogging, website management etc.4) Events e.g. industrial debates, open lectures, seminars, CPD, event proposals etc.5) Contract management e.g. provision of teaching staff, managing temporary contracts, misc. HR processes such as right-to-work verification.6) International student engagement e.g. international marketing, designing and organising student away days, student forums, visa issues, and summer schools.I provide varied support to the School and therefore have significant experience of running specialist projects, which have included designing and organising staff training packages, database management, data analysis and all operational activities relating to the production of key deliverables. A huge part of my role is liaising with external partners and creating an audience for marketing purposes, therefore I have experience of fostering key customer relationships and engaging with consumers.

I was responsible for a portfolio of courses and led, managed, and supported all aspects of the students' journey following admittance onto their chosen course of study through to graduation. I was the key point of contact between students, academic colleagues, external stakeholders and university professional services. My duties included advising all stakeholders on university and course specific policy (e.g. extenuating circumstances, leave of absence, exam board decisions). I prepared data and materials for exam boards and used the student records system to indicate decisions.

I provided administrative support for postgraduate and undergraduate degrees within the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering. I handled re-enrolment, exam provisions, exam boards, timetabling, personal tutors, tutorials, and student/staff boards. I applied my knowledge of the academic framework when making decisions about student progression, awards and withdrawals. I handled student appeals, complaints and interruptions; it was my responsibility to advise academics and students accordingly. Furthermore, I engaged with a number of other departments (e.g. Registry, Fees, International) in the provision of the student journey. I produced complex reports and presented data to improve processes relating to local protocols, quality assurance and course accreditation.
