Tooling Design:-Mechanical engineer/designer who designed fixtures and jigs to incorporate and power customer products for use in various manufacturing equipment (die attach, wire bond, optical active alignment, adhesive dispense, passive pick and place alignment, etc) utilizing Solidworks-Project manager responsible for the entire design life cycle of tooling with various budgets up to $200K, and completing various toolings within schedules as short as two weeksProcess Engineering:-Provided DFM feedback and mechanical engineering support (mechanical and thermal design) for customers in order to better design their products to adapt to the manufacturing tools and processes-Aided process engineers for optical active alignment of camera modules where I helped develop DOE's, set up machines, defined machine parameters through experimentation, analyzed data (process stability), conducted Gage R&R's, and built parts for prototype run of customer product through mass production (over 800K units per month)Automation:-Designed, assembled, programmed, and developed assembly processes for 2 custom semi-automated alignment systems with sub 25 micron repeatability with a budget of over $400K saving the customer three months of schedule-Designed fixtures and selected actuators to achieve micron precision-Programmed custom Labview interface and controls-Created custom alignment algorithm using an Labview and OMM sofware.

-Assist in the design, build, deployment, and refurbishment of over nine moored instrument systems.-Extensive hands on experience using various tools and building methods in order to construct buoys, cages, and other parts pertinent to the success of the mooring operation.-Configure, program, and refurbish various oceanographic instruments worth tens of thousands of dollars each.-Developed, as well as utilized, standards of quality control on various instruments to prepare for deployment.-Participated in the deployment of the first Moorings in the NSF funded OOI Project at Station Papa off the Gulf of Alaska.
