I have been working as an Architectural Technician for the last 5 years, with the last 4 years at a disciplinary construction consultancy in Oxford. I am currently working within a team on a multi-million pound R&D facility for a large UK based automotive manufacturer. My key roles on the project have developed over the last 2 years and include; BIM coordination, drawing package delivery for RIBA stages, COBie delivery, technical design, architectural model management and the planning submission.I am also leading the design and delivery of the multi-million pound switch room for the facility.I have also been involved in other projects during this time which involved several bid submissions for other projects within the automotive industry, early RIBA stage design for an educational R&D facilities so have been involved within projects across the RIBA stages. Due to the scale of the project I have worked within a large team which has developed my team coordination skills and allowed a sharing of knowledge with a mix of Architectural technicians / technologists and Architects.I am currently working towards my CIAT chartership and with the aim of completing this within the next 12 months.
