Researching as a Postdoc at RIKEN's Center for Advanced Intelligence Project (AIP), which is a think tank for AI set up in the centre of Tokyo.My research interests include General Knowledge Acquisition, Reasoning, Question Answering, Dialogue Systems, and Deep Reinforcement Learning.

Leading the AI R&D effort to extract information from natural input, such as images and text, and to automate human-like service. Striving to keep up-to-date with the latest Neural Network research to be aware of any techniques applicable to current or future services. Working with Convolutional Neural Networks for image recognition and object detection; LSTMs and Sequence-to-Sequence models for natural language and sequence processing; as well as experimenting with a variety of techniques like Deep Reinforcement Learning. Also carrying out statistical analysis, data visualisation, and traditional machine learning and NLP.I am interested in pushing the boundaries of these AI techniques, utilising Attention mechanisms, Memory structures, and achieving Reasoning through neural network architecture.

Research work on updating a Particle Physics analysis of Neutrino Oscillations (topic of the Nobel Prize in 2015), along with Non-Standard Neutrino Interactions. Non-Standard Interactions (NSI) are interactions of neutrinos (new physics) that are not described by the widely accepted Standard Model of Particle Physics.Neutrinos are a fundamental particle of our universe, and the most abundant particle after the photon. Understanding neutrinos in more detail can help us understand our universe better, from how stars operate at their core to understanding the matter anti-matter asymmetry we observe.Research at Super-Kamiokande continuously tries to test the observed data over nearly two decades against a wide range of hypotheses. In doing this we can either discover new explanations for the data, or strengthen the evidence for theories such as Neutrino Oscillations.

Development of custom CMSs in PHP/MySQL or Ruby on Rails. Created a micro-blogging app with the Test Driven Development methodology in Ruby on Rails (with features similar to that of Twitter). Every feature or requirement was implemented with a Unit Test first before programming the functionality. Often used Bootstrap and jQuery for the UI. Also created custom templates for Wordpress based web-sites.

Development of 2D games making use of the 3rd party library Cocos 2D (native), or using the Unity game engine. Native apps were made with MVC software architectural pattern, Apple standard library UI elements and core data alongside Cocos 2D.
