CurrentIn this role I supervise assigned personnel by maximizing performance and moral, establish priorities, evaluate performance, assess developmental needs and correct substandard performance and discipline issues as they occur. I communicate clearly and concisely with staff while encouraging staff to maintain open communication. As a supervisor, I effectively identify and resolve any and all personnel conflicts. I identify and communicate all safety issues with employees to ensure a safe workplace. I provide cross-training and develop current desk procedures to ensure continuity of operations. I administer, oversee, and coordinate assigned human resources programs and functions by establishing goals, objectives and support strategies for managers and employees. I ensure the progress of initiatives and projects are met and redirect work effort to the appropriate staff to accomplish objectives. As the Wellness Program Coordinator, I devise implementation strategies and manage the Department’s Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) and Chaplaincy Program, with responsibilities for Team member appointment, removal, and deployment of CISM and/or Chaplain Team members. I work within a Team of employees who review, develop and recommend new or revisions to agency policies. I review and analyze reports to support changes to existing or development of new human resources programs. I routinely review and analyze work processes to streamline and enhance operational effectiveness. I review and approve budgetary expenditure allocations within my scope of authority, and recommend future allocations based on programmatic change, growth or new legislation.
