My primary focus involved working with the extensive newspaper collection at the Main Library. I organized and planned conservation work on historical newspaper collections and undertook projects to gain more intellectual control over these collections. I helped lead a project involving the digitization of Cincinnati English-language and German-language newspapers to be included in an online database.I cohosted to See The Story Book Club in conjunction with the Cincinnati Art Museum, selecting titles and leading discussion groups.I served as a member of the Black Events & Exhibits Committee in 2020 and a board member of the Staff Association from 2015-2020I answered library users' reference questions in person, over the telephone and by e-mail, using materials in a variety of formats (i.e. books, periodicals, newspapers, microfilm, and online databases). I also provided bibliographic instruction to users. I presented information about library resources, services, and programs to individuals and groups as well as developed, planned and implemented outreach programs to community groups.I provided chat reference service and handled questions relating to the library's downloadable resources.I also served as a passport agent for the library which is an authorized acceptance agency for the U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Consular Affairs.

I maintained museum and non-public records pertaining to collections, donations, and object loans. I updated the automated collection catalog, monitoring object locations and loans to and from the archaeology, natural history, history, audio-visual and archival collections. I also assisted with record keeping systems and procedures that promote identification and management of collections. I assisted with loan negotiations, condition reporting, packing, shipping and insurance for loaned objects. I collaborated with staff in other areas to facilitate exhibit design, installation and educational programsIn addition, I provided reference to patrons of the Archives/Library.

Whetstone Branch

Staffed the information desk to answer in-depth reference and technical questions and provided instruction in using the library’s digital content such as eBooks and online resources. Provided readers’ advisory information for customers of all ages. Created displays to promote titles and managed the Biography and World History sections of the branch’s collection.

Parsons Branch

Worked at the circulation desk to greet customers. Aided with reference, circulation, and computer questions as well as assisted customers with applications and résumés in the Job Help Center. Merchandised library materials and provided readers’ advisory information. Managed the History and Travel portions of the branch’s collection.

New Albany Branch

I processed customer loan requests, shelved, and mended or withdrew damaged materials.I also solved basic reference questions or referred customers to the reference librarians for further assistance.

Temporary position to aid curators in preparing and researching museum objects for upcoming exhibitions. Installed exhibits at the Ohio History Center. Digitized photographs and created metadata for the Ohio Memory Ohio Guide photograph collection using CONTENTdm. Researched object provenance using catalog records, registrar records, and curator files. Created original catalog records for museum objects and updated records lacking detailed descriptions.
