After doing my BSc. in Life Science at the University of Konstanz, I am now doing my MSc. in Biological Science in the priority track for Molecular and Cell biology. Albeit not studying informatics I quickly set the focus of my masters education on enhancing my informatic skills and applying them on scientific questions. I already had personal interest in informatics and automation of computational tasks for years, which lead to the aquiring of various scripting and programming languages, such as bash, python, java, r and lua.I am doing my masters thesis in a structual biology group focused on the bioinformatic analysis on disease related variants in muscle proteins.Apart from advancing my studies I tutored in the 1st semester inorganic chemistry practical and did a hiwi on integrating an analysis pipeline into a java desktop program.
