We shot this film back in 2012. I met Pushpa when she was 1 of 45,000 CNN Hero Nominees. Who could have imagined she would win and that this film would be used to build permanent housing for her and her children-- the first in Nepal to the International Standard. I am thrilled with the power of this film and am anxiously awaiting the opening of the home in October of 2015.

Have spoke before the US Congress twice, on a panel at the United Nations, at the Democratic National Convention (PPL), at colleges and universities across the US and am honored to be the 2015 Commencement Speaker at my Alma Mater --Central Michigan University

We screened this film to over 700 colleges, universities, high schools and organizations around the country to kick of Hunger and Homeless Awareness Week. The goal of the film is to help people understand who is homeless and why and to get them to act in their communities to de-criminalize homelessness. We also hope that the film will be part of a national campaign to make the violence against the homeless a hate crime.

This film comes at an important time in our history. Whistleblowers have been silenced and government has operated in secret. It is time that we know what is going on and in whose best interest actions are being taken. We hope this film will start that conversation and will change the way we have been told to think about these courageous people.
