Working under the Director of Music, John Keys, I have built on skills and experiences I gained as a chorister in Llandaff Cathedral and Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral to provide musical worship to people of this parish, and to the wider city.

In this role, I worked as assistant to the Director of Children's Choirs at St Mary's in the Lace Market. I worked with three separate choirs, which involved children from ages 4-12. This role required incredible organisation and leadership skills as well as the ability to teach the most basic fundamentals of music and singing in an informative but accessible way. This role also required level 2 safeguarding training and the understanding and practice of safeguarding children in a teaching and religious environment.

In this role, I worked as a part-time kitchen assistant in a small, independent Italian restaurant in Oxton Village, Merseyside while studying for my A-Levels. I learn valuable lessons about organisation, mulit- tasking, working in a high pressure environment, customer service and food hygiene and safety. This role started as a way to make some extra money while I was in school but taught me so much that I can take forward into my working life.
