A highly motivated and hardworking individual, continuing to develop my skills in engineering and Portfolio management. Having completed a Beng (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Derby, achieving a first class, I have been dedicated to balancing my responsibilities as Business Unit Risk Lead at Rolls-Royce with my desire to continue my academic progression. At Bilborough College, I achieved A-level qualifications in Maths, Further maths, Physics and Geography whilst working part time as a customer assistant at Homebase. Throughout my education, I have set myself high standards, receiving several awards including: five governor awards; pupil of the Year and overall highest achiever in my final year at West Park Academy.After completing my A-levels, I applied for an Engineering Higher Apprenticeship at Rolls-Royce in Derby, in the Civil Aerospace sector where I was successful after a highly competitive interview and assessment process. My first 9 months focused on completing workshop training, developing practical skills for engineering appreciation at the Learning and Development Centre. The remainder of the apprenticeship scheme I was in various engineering placements, including: Configuration Engineering, Weights Engineering, Data Systems Engineering and System Architecture. This has enabled me to develop leadership and accountability, taking on technical roles, balancing this alongside my Mechanical Engineering Bachelors Degree. Following the completion of my apprenticeship, I transitioned into a role as a Risk Management Coordinator within the Rolls-Royce Nuclear Submarines business. I have developed experience with running Scheduled Risk Analysis (SRA) using Monte Carlo Technique in Primavera Risk Analysis (PRA) software. I have been responsible for the full lifecycle of an SRA including developing a robust summary network, obtaining uncertainty and risk input data, running models and any sensitivity studies and then analysing output data which I then present to internal and external customers. Moreover, I was responsible for reviewing risks and analysing output data from Cost Risk Analysis (CRA) modelling using Active Risk Manager (ARM) software. I then transitioned into a more senior role as a risk lead (SME) for 2 years, before moving into my current role as Portfolio Controls Lead in the Contract & performance team. I am now responsible for developing, maintaining and analysing the Submarines Portfolio Delivery Schedule and the 30 year outlook strategic delivery plan in Primavera P6 software.
