I am a field application research engineer at L-Acoustics, a French manufacturer of loudspeakers, amplifiers and signal processing devices. I am a member of the “Education and Scientific Outreach” department that aims at developing the education program of the company for professional users. The department is also conducting research describing the behaviour of loudspeaker systems in their acoustical environment and the perceptual quality of the reproduced sound for audience members and sound engineers, creating advanced and rational methodologies for the optimization and operation of sound reinforcement systems. Before joining L-Acoustics, I obtained a first Master’s in audiovisual at Brest University in France. I then worked for 12 years as a sound engineer and sound system engineer for many tours, concerts and festivals. This led me to take an interest in signal processing and in how loudspeakers are designed. To improve my skills in these fields, I took part in the International Master’s Degree in ElectroAcoustics (IMDEA) at Le Mans University in France. My current position is a mix between the first part of my career and my new skills acquired.
