It Manager - Cloud Migrations, Systems Evaluation, Identity Management & Directory Integration
Greater Los Angeles Area
Collaborated with a team of 8 IT pros based in Europe who provide technical support and internal customer service focus to a global staff of 500—presiding over Los Angeles and NYC offices and supporting Sydney, Australia.Successfully tamed a disparate, confusing mix of systems, tools and services that were being used upon initial hire—eliminating expensive duplication between various licensing, service, software, and hardware elements and shifting the company to a much more modern, centralized IT architecture.Led a Scrum-managed consulting team that migrated the L.A. datacenter to the AWS cloud within 3 months, eliminating over $200K in annual costs and reducing ongoing expenses to less than the prior maintenance fees of the datacenters alone; currently pursuing similar steps for the Australia office.Migrated a series of geographically-remote teams into a single Active Directory Domain, using domain controllers secured in virtual private clouds around the globe tied together by VPNs and SD-WAN. Reviewed numerous CRM systems and installed a custom FileMaker database hosted in the cloud that has allowed the company’s publicity, press, and marketing teams to all utilize the same mailing list system, versus continuing to each rely on their own separate, inefficient, and costly systems.Reviewed multiple Identity Management Providers and implemented OneLogin with Active Directory Integration and Single Sign-On.Implemented and manage Mobile Device Management system, Jamf, and Apple Device Enrollment Program for iOS and Mac management.Demonstrated superior ongoing change management skills, using an approachable interpersonal style to inspire people around new technology, overcome resistance to change, and successfully generate the buy-in needed to adopt new centralized systems—such as Dropbox, Slack, Zoom and Skype for Business—all of which have greatly improved collaboration and coordination among staff members
