As Editor of GlobalPost, Thomas Mucha oversees GlobalPost's editorial operations. He also writes a Society of American Business Editors and Writers' (SABEW) Best in Business Award-winning column on global economics.Under Mucha's direction GlobalPost has won 32 SABEW awards for reporting on the global economy. It has also won a Peabody Award and two Edward R. Murrow Awards for its On Location video series, a Polk Award for coverage of Syria, the Robert F. Kennedy Journalism Award and a National Press Club Award for reporting on Myanmar, and an Overseas Press Club Award for coverage of the Libyan rebellion. The site has also been a Webby Awards Finalist for each of the past five years.Mucha spent his first decade in journalism as a writer, producer and editor for CNN and CNN International in New York and London where he covered Wall Street, the US and global economies, Asia’s economic rise, the birth of the euro, as well as global emerging markets. His magazine work has appeared in Wired, Details and other publications.In addition, Mucha spent four years as Assistant Managing Editor of Crain’s Chicago Business where he led special projects.
