As Head of UPS EMEAI Building & Systems Engineering Mr. Mueller is responsible for overseeing all UPS Building & conveyor technology across 120 countries and territories across Europe, Middle East, Africa and the Indian subcontinent with around 500 functional employees. This role oversees all facility maintenance, all facility projects (small, medium, large - automated and conventional & offices), all conveyor technology & automation, innovation center, compliance, sustainability. Prior to his appointment as head of UPS EMEAI Building & Systems Engineering Mr. Mueller held various positions of increasing responsibility for UPS EMEAI operating Information Technology support groups as well as Industrial Engineering groups and special projects such as Telematics deployment to brown package cars, the Technology support around Olympics London 2012 or the CGN Air Hub Expansion.Whilst living in the UK, Mr. Mueller served in addition as UK, IRE & Nordics Technology group manager. Mr. Mueller has around 10 years of leadership experience in IT & Operating Technology and around 10 years of experience in Industrial Engineering. Within Industrial Engineering he let the Germany District (DACH) engineering group during Covid times where he played a crucial role in delivering what matters to our customers, defining operating plans, executing projects and being a key player of the BPT as wingman of the CEO ensuring P&L goals were met. Mr. Mueller demonstrated his agility by taking on very different senior leadership roles and succeeding in all of them. He has used his inclusive leadership style to gain peoples trust which is the most important trait for long term success. Mr. Mueller has also thrown himself into the problem of improving processes within the function or business unit he was responsible for and through his personal commitment & engagement enabled new ways of working which exceeded expectations.
