Tom began his career as an installer of HVAC systems in turn-of-the-century homes in Fort Worth Texas. From there, he has “worn many hats” in the HVAC business leading to his current position of V. P. of Product Development/Design QuFresh IAQ at Ventamatic Ltd. for Fresh Air, Exhaust Air, Balanced Ventilation. As part of his commitment to ventilation and the HVAC industry, Tom travels around the country demonstrating the best products and solutions at national conferences like International Builder Show, and the Air Conditioning Heating and Refrigeration Expo. He also sponsors training classes, power point presentations and interactive seminars on mechanical ventilation and indoor air quality to a variety of audiences from Engineering firms in Buffalo, New York to ones in Los Angles, California. He also helps educate Code Officials for the states of Alabama and Texas on new codes for ventilation and HVAC systems.Tom has worked as a HVAC product designer and industry consultant to some of the leading manufacturers of HVAC equipment and controls including: Carrier, Lennox, Rheem, Trane, Honeywell, Emerson/White Roger and Carlisle HVAC. He has also worked with many of the leading home builders in the nation.In 2014, Tom and his partners at Tempo Mechanical started a new company, QuFresh Inc, to develop ventilation products that meet the new codes requirements and building standards. Since then, they have worked with large manufactures like Air King LLC, to develop and sell a line of ventilations products for homes, apartments, and commercial applications that are sold and distributed nationally.Tom and his wife Janice live on their farm in Brock, Texas where they raise registered boar goats and quarter horses. He is also a member of ASHRAE, ICC, Ducks Unlimited and Texas & Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association.
