Collaborated on drug product analysis for 3 modalities – Microbiome, Plasmid, and mRNA/LNPs - to ensure accurate and precise testing of current biotherapeutics.

Collaborated with clients to scale up anaerobic and aerobic growth of targeted microbes and developed processes for production of live biotherapeutic drug products.

Constructed biofilm matrix protein mutants to investigate expression, export, and surface adhesion specificity. Working on a collaboration investigating the dispersion of respiratory pathogen clinical isolates from the surface of medical devices. Mentoring junior researchers on basic wet lab and experimental techniques.

Investigated the mechanism of natural transformation in Gram negative bacteria. During this project, I characterized the protein ComM as a DNA bi-directional helicase and branch migration factor that acts specifically during natural transformation to integrate single stranded DNA. The investigation included both in vivo and in vitro analysis.

Investigated the infection mechanism of Yersinia pestis and the specific immune cells targeted during early infection. I used seven color flow cytometry analysis of infected murine splenocytes during this investigation.

Collaborated on projects in order to identify possible therapeutic avenues for Inflammatory bowel diseases by first understanding the disease pathway in its entirety. Managed mouse colonies and set up breeding pairs in order to maintain or develop lines.
