Ing. Thomas Neuroth (68)is a Business Angel and Serial Entrepreneur. Being an Electronics Engineer he also has a commercial background by education. He started his career as a Sales Engineer for electronic components in the seventees for a French semiconductor group, which then became part of ST Microelectronics. In this time he already dealt with early innovation projects of his customers, which later became huge activities for the respective companies (Fronius, ZumTobel/Tridonic, Philips,…) After he founded his own company in 1987, being Distributor and Agent, he started to convert it towards a chip design service, finally becoming a fabless chip vendor in the dedicated signal processing field. In 2000 Analog Devices (ADI) bought the company and Thomas, after some time, became Business Angel. Having been a long time President of ftw, the Austrian telecom research institution, he continued to act in his field.Besides his experience in sales and technology my main emphasis is strategic positioning, team building and leadership.In 2017 Thomas helped Rebeat Innovation GmbH, the inventors behind the HD Vinyl technology to structure and complete the seed round, raising more than 4 Million Euros in Equity and Soft Money. He now acts as the CFO and Strategic advisor of the company.In 2020 Thomas, together with Günter Loibl founded the Vinyl Alliance, an Association (Verein) to raise awareness and promote Vinyl across the vinyl value chain. The Vinyl alliance has found strong backers across the industry including key players of Music labels and manufacturers. Thomas now holds the position of treasurer in the VA.
