Performed experiments requiring precise (nanosecond scale) timing and sequencing of a variety of pulses of laser light and radio waves, including a measurement of a physical constant to ppm accuracy and the generation and verification of quantum entanglement between the electronic state of a single barium ion and the polarization state of a single photon. Supervised several undergraduate research assistants in the production of useful electronics and optical assemblies.
