Jag är professor i didaktik med inriktning mot historia och samhällskunskap. Mitt breda forskningsintresse omfattar bland annat AI i skolan, utbildning för internationell förståelse, historiskt tänkande, digital kompetens, kritiskt tänkande och mänskliga rättigheter. Jag leder projekten Nyhetsvärderaren, GÄCKA och SEGA:D och var expert i EU-kommissionens arbetsgrupp för digital litteracitet mot desinformation. Jag har fått utmärkelsen Gyllene förstoringsglaset och Fria pedagogiska priset. Min tidigare forskning, genomförd även i Umeå och Stanford, har publicerats i böcker och tidskrifter om historia, utbildningsvetenskap och digital humaniora. Min senaste bok handlar om möjligheter och utmaningar med AI i skolan.
