I was fortunate enough to be able to sell my house, leave my job, and go backpacking through the States and Central America for a year. It was an incredible time that greatly expanded my world view and provided invaluable perspective. Made my way from the East Coast to the West Coast and on down to Costa Rica, making stops in Mexico, Belize, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica. Missed out on El Salvador and Panama... maybe next time!

- Redesigned UI framework for Maximo 7.1/TPAE using J2EE and MVC architecture- Implemented server side of UI framework using Java and JSP, running on Weblogic and Websphere Application Servers- Implemented client side of UI framework using Javasacript, HTML and CSS- Developed base framework controls from which all applications are built- Continued development on Application Designer tool for drag/drop updating of App Presentations- Worked on many facets of the product including base architecture/framework, application presentation definition, screen upgrade, database upgrade, attached documents, accessibility, 508 compliance, translation- Integration of report writing software with Maximo, including SQR, Crystal and Actuate- Assisted the L2 and L3 support teams in solving technical issues

- Worked on JSP/HTML based application definitions for Maximo applications- Began development of Application Designer tool for visually editing application presentation definitions in Maximo 6.x

- Developed Windows applications for Maximo, a top tier Enterprise Asset Management system, using Gupta/Centura SQLWindows GUI Development Toolset- Assisted with performance tuning for Oracle and SQLBase relational databases.- Wrote and maintained SQR reports- Was the development resource for CRT (customer response team) responsible for solving critical customer issues, often on-site.- Created a SQLBase crash recovery tool used by support to restore corrupted client databases.
