I have always had an great interest in Engineering from a young age and it mainly stemmed from helping my father out in the shed when i was younger. When helping him I learnt a lot of hands on skills which benefited me massively to get me to where i am today. In 2017, I was lucky enough that my A-Level Design & Technology project was selected to go to Sentinus Inovators in Belfast. at the competition i came away with 3 prizes which I couldn't believe! The awards were as followed:Northern Ireland Young Engineers - Senior Category 2017 Winner.Excite Exhibition and Display - Best Visual Display Award Winner 2017.Big Bang National Final - Nomination Winner 2017.I couldn't believe that something I had design and manufactured won something judged by professionals! The last award was the most important as it allowed to to present my Project at The Big Bang Fair in the NEC Birmingham in April 2018. This again was a surreal experience! After attending The Big Bang Fair, i came away with a specially selected prize to Celebrate the Year of Engineering by Research Councils UK. This was by far my biggest achievement to day and has really motivated me that if I want something and put my head to it....I can achieve it!
