During my time with Munich Re I have begun to sharpen my accounting skills by applying the knowledge I have learned in the classroom through various projects. Some projects included preparing federal and state tax forms. updating account ledgers within excel. and sorting forms to apply for net operating losses within various states. I also had the opportunity to use software like excel and OneSource which are popular programs for accounting professionals.

With the Finance Department of the Royal Lancaster of London, I am refining the knowledge have learned in my accounting classes by applying them to real world situations. This has been done by working with both Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and the Income Departments by working with accounting software, updating accounts receivables, analyzing invoices, internal auditing, authorizing purchasing orders, and creating credit reports.

Crum and Forster have given me the opportunity to join their Surplus and Specialty Lines Division where I am gaining an understanding of the insurance industry by learning and working with the multiple departments like underwriting, claims, and operational support within the Surplus and Specialty Lines. This was done through both hands on and training experiences through projects, tasks, seminars, and meetings. Overall, this internship has excelled my knowledge within the Insurance business, excelled my passion for learning, honed my communication and teamwork skills, ability to analyze data, excel, Insurance platforms and software's, and many other essentials skills that can transfer over to various industries.

Here I learned workplace skills like how to work on a team with my co-workers, customer service, critical thinking, and retail professionalism. Being a retail sales associate taught me time management skills due to me balancing working and being in high school at the same time.
