I am an early career researcher at the Department of Physics, Alex Ekwueme Federal University Ndufu-Alike. I am a materials scientist, interested in the development of new, efficient and low-cost materials for renewable energy generation and storage towards meeting the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal of clean and affordable energy which is essential for climate change mitigation. As part of my volunteer/community work, I am involve in science outreach programs and mentorship of young minds.I am a highly motivated individual with strong teaching, mentorship and leadership skills with an ability to take on challenges. I always have a positive attitude in any environment I find myself and never give up even in the face of adversity. I can work well in a team as well as on my own.

Postdoctoral ResearcherUniversity Of Mauritius May 2023 - Jan 2024MauritiusTo study materials for next-generation energy applications, I specifically apply numerical approaches based on the solution of the quantum-mechanical equations (i.e., from first-principles or ab initio calculations). These findings aim to explore surface and interface phenomena that can be important parameters for their application in opto-electronic devices, provide an accurate and predictive description of the most crucial structural, electronic, and optical properties of a variety of energy materials, and finally, design new materials using cutting-edge computational methods. -
