Since 1978 to current, I have been employed through several NASA contracts to support the Satellite Laser Ranging Network systems in various positions. From preforming field technical support for the stations laser, optics, computer, radar and console operations for stations located in Greenbelt Maryland, American Samoa, and Mazatlan Mexico. I have also supported the contractor operations group and Engineering R&D team developing new SLR technologies and testing Lageos II satellite retro-reflector arrays for the NASA SLR network. During this time, I also had the opportunity to assist the Navel Research Lab (NRL) with a SLR experiment at the Starfire Optical test facility for the TIPS satellite. (http://ilrs.gsfc.nasa.gov/)In 1995, I have worked on commercial contracts with AlliedSignal and HTSI for the optical/mechanical interface design for the laser to the telescope for the Matera (Italy) Laser Ranging Observatory (MLRO) station in Matera Italy. As a subcontractor, I worked of a team with sustaining engineering to also support 8 international stations, and implement changes or modifications to improve performance. I also worked on a hardware replacement/improvement to the MLRO station. and worked on hardware for additional systems for Finland and India.
