Thomas J. (T.J.) Olson began practicing law in 2002 after admission to the Illinois Bar, and he was trying his first case, as the sole defense attorney, within two months. He has defended cases from pleadings through trial ever since.T.J. is a partner that is licensed to practice in both Illinois and Indiana. He focuses his practice on personal injury, trucking/commercial transportation litigation, premises liability, and product liability, and he also handles contractual disputes, coverage disputes, and UM/UIM claims. T.J. handles cases ranging from large loss property damages to personal injury claims including wrongful death cases. He has tried and won numerous jury trials in multiple counties and often settles cases for considerably less than his clients have set aside in reserves. T.J. approaches each case with an aggressive yet professional disposition with a focus on providing his clients with the best and strongest defense while also strategizing to resolve cases at the least expense. T.J. is licensed to practice in Illinois, Indiana and the United States District Court of the Northern District of Illinois. He graduated from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 1999 (B.S. Economics) and from DePaul College of Law in 2002. He is a member of the Chicago Bar Association and the CBA Judicial Evaluation Committee.T.J. volunteers his legal services pro bono to the non-profit organization “It’s A Pittie Rescue” based out of Peotone, Illinois, which rescues, rehabilitates, and re-homes pit bull breeds. He has raised over $20,000 for the organization by completing various events including the Chicago Triathlon, Alcatraz Swim, Savage Race, and the 100 mile Tri State Bicycle Tour.
