The Austin Technology Incubator (ATI) is the deep tech incubator affiliated with The University of Texas at Austin. Founded in 1989, it is also the longest active technology incubator in the United States. ATI’s mission is to empower university and community entrepreneurs through a customized approach to effectively commercialize their breakthrough innovations and compete in the global marketplace. Roles include: - Executive in Residence (EIR) supporting ATI client companies. (since July 2021) - Texas Venture Mentor Service (TexVMS) Mentor - Formal mentor role with select companies enrolled in the ATI TexVMS program. (since ~July 2019) - Student Entrepreneur Accelerated Launch (SEAL) - (pre-2019) Formal mentor to student entrepreneurs considering a start-up- Focus on energy, clean technology (including; battery energy storage technology and solar energy), product development, commercialization, and manufacturing.

CleanTX is the cluster development organization for clean technology in Central Texas. Headquartered in the capital city of Austin, CleanTX is uniquely positioned at the nexus of government, industry, academia, utility and community interests. After serving as a Founding Partner and Board Member, I have moved to the Advisory Board.

The Central Texas Regional Center of Innovation and Commercialization (RCIC) of the Texas Emerging Technology Fund (TETF) works with the Office of the Governor to identify, evaluate, and submit promising proposals from innovative and emerging technology companies from the Central Texas region to the state-level TETF Advisory Committee. Successful candidates receive substantive funding from the state Emerging Technology Fund.

The Austin Solar Energy Entrepreneur Network (Austin SEEN) is a business networking and educational organization created to promote solar energy business development and solar energy adoption. This was expanded to create a parallel focus on more broad clean technologies: CLEEN - Clean Energy Entrepreneur Network. These were partnered with, and then absorbed into, CleanTX.
