Over the course of a year at Blackwell's Oxford Brookes I led the shop from being one of the bottom ten performers in the business against budget when I took over, to one of the top ten when I left. By the midpoint of the financial year in January 2014 when I left to run another Blackwell's in Cardiff, the Brookes shop was over £6k up on budget for cash sales and almost £15k up against the previous year; controllable costs were down against budget; we were also beating our budgeted trading contribution (despite a very challenging target) and the shop was contributing over £7k more to the company than at the same point a year previously.

Having worked in a number of departments during my time on Blackwell's flagship shop on Broad Street, I progressed to become Education, Psychology and Philosophy buyer. I ran and coordinated this large academic area. I was also a part of the core events team. My events experience included project managing the Blackwell's Fresher's Fair Evening in September 2012.
