I am a sound aficionado with a passion for telling and enhancing story through sound. I strive to aid the director accomplish his vision, while offering a unique perspective through a sound-based approach to further enhance the intended goal. The nuances of ambiance, or the timbre of an effect all play into the overall emotion and experience of the film, and being sure to capture the right feeling for each moment is essential to my approach and philosophy of sound design. I currently work in Los Angeles for the company I co-founded, MelodyGun, as the lead supervising sound editor/sound designer.PROFESSIONAL FILM WORK:Throughout my career as a sound designer, I have worked on a multitude of projects as the supervising sound editor including multiple features. I oversaw the entire post-sound workflow on the majority of these projects, while maximizing resources and talent in sound teams for others. I've also contributed to various post sound teams in more specific roles such as sound designer/dialogue editor/re-recording mixer, etc.Learned the professional post-sound workflow in all areas while interning at the studio Danetracks (responsible for works such as "The Matrix," "The Incredible Hulk," and "Ender's Game") for a full year while observing and learning from renowned sound designer Dane Davis. Throughout the years I've accrued so much valuable professional experience from many wonderful colleagues, while keeping the flexible nature that is so vital to independent filmmaking.
