CurrentTHOMAS P. DILLON serves as the Chairman of the firm's Management Committee and is the Managing Partner of Shumaker's Toledo, Ohio office. Tom is a former Co-Chair of the litigation practice group. Tom's practice includes acting as outside general counsel for small and medium sized businesses to help them identify and solve a host of legal issues. Tom has extensive experience in representing individuals and business clients in commercial disputes involving business torts, unfair competition torts, covenants not to compete, theft of trade secrets, customer/supplier disputes, insurance coverage issues, breach of contract claims, real property disputes, employment claims, ERISA matters and tax disputes. He has substantial experience in obtaining injunctive relief to prevent unfair competition and the unauthorized disclosure of trade secrets. Tom is a Fellow in the Litigation Counsel of America (LCA). LCA is a trial lawyer honorary society composed of less than one-half of one percent of American lawyers. Fellowship in LCA is highly selective and by invitation only. Fellows are selected based upon effectiveness and accomplishment in litigation, both at the trial and appellate levels and superior ethical reputation.In the commercial litigation law category, Mr. Dillon has been selected for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America®.
