I am an interdisciplinary ecologist and project manager with close to 20 years of experience with emphasis on avian conservation, wildlife habitat management, coastal and wetland ecology, and project planning and regulatory compliance. Previously I conducted research and provided habitat management recommendations regarding federally-listed species for the mining industry in Texas (birds) and the U.S. Navy in the Lower Florida Keys (mammals). Presently in my career, I straddle roles involving staff and team management, project management, marketing, and technical job functions. My primary expertise centers on Section 404 of the Clean Water Act, Endangered Species Act, and National Environmental Policy Act. Generating proposals and cost estimates, interfacing with clients, and staff training, mentorship, and management are also typical job functions.
