- Provide operational and functional management advice on the practical implementation of the projects/company’s SHE policies and processes. - Integrated into the delivery teams providing first-class support and guidance- Assist with the development of Health, Safety and Environmental Management plans and coordination of review. - Provide advice on the prevention of accidents, incidents and ill health. - Assist in key tasks in the development, management, implementation and monitoring of the Safety, Health and Environmental Management System - Assist with SHE Advisory Visit, Inspections and Audits of operational sites - Assist in behavioural management (CBS) programmes- Support the disciplines in accident/ investigations- Assist with the preparation of SHE risk assessments and Method Statements - Assist with the monitoring, analysis of and reporting of SHE performance - Assist in the preparation and implementation of SHE training/briefings

A key member of Safety Quality & Environment team providing safety services to support the Crossrail Staged Opening Plan since mobilisation in May 2015. • Key representative at MTR Crossrail's internal functional meetings to support business' operations and ensure that safety is not compromised. Liaising with internal and external stakeholders (Network Rail, Transport for London, RSSB & Union Reps). • Preparation of safety performance reports to be submitted to Transport for London , MTR Corporation and internal strategic functions.• Management of MTR Crossrail incident reporting process which includes, submission of statutory reports, reviewing investigations, tracking corrective actions and collating associated documentation. • Management of MTR Crossrail's claims process, which includes, liaising with external claims handlers and making key decisions on per-litigation claims. • Reviewing and updating safety management systems procedures for safety certificate approval. • Supporting the business with suitable and sufficient risk assessments to support the safety validation process. • Undertaking investigations for significant incidents and ensuring the business takes appropriate action to prevent re-occurrences. • Providing safety advice and supporting project teams undertaking station improvement works on the eastern section of the Crossrail route. • Delivery of safety induction training to new employees and contractors to covey key safety message and ensuring key safety responsibilities are clearly understood.

• Released the 2014 version of London Underground Quantified Risk Assessment, to reflect the changes following the introduction of the new rolling stock on the Circle line and new signalling system on the Northern line.• Annual review of Top Events which make up the QRA. Reviews generally include workshops with key stakeholders, re-modelling of logic, a comprehensive review of data and sensitivity testing. • Lead hazard identification (HAZID) workshops for projects and engage key stakeholders (Project Mangers, Project Engineers, Asset Professional Heads & HSE Advisors) to quantify risk and assess effectiveness of controls.• Perform safety cost benefit analysis exercises, using QRA, incident / asset data and assumptions made by subject matter experts. The results support decision making within concessions, business cases and safety cases.• Regularly liaise with risk managers across the railway industry (Network Rail, ORR, RSSB, Crossrail) to share best practice.• Process improvement project (six sigma) which looked to reduce the business costs from train derailments in fleet maintenance depots. Improvements were made to various activities which directly reduced occurrences, resulting financial savings and improved reliability.

• Produced the periodic safety performance reports for the Board and Health and Safety Committee. • Designed, built and implemented a sophisticated incident reporting system which provides more systematic means of reporting and investigating incidents.• Performed ad-hoc data analysis to identify risks and trends on behalf of Senior Management and Directors.• Undertook surveillance audits to provide assurance and to action any shortfalls identified, findings from these activities were presented to the Tube Lines Safety Review Group.
