As the Director of QA Operations at bluebird bio, I oversee the quality assurance activities for the manufacturing and supply chain of gene therapies for rare and life-threatening diseases. I lead a team of compliance and quality professionals who ensure the adherence to regulatory standards, internal policies, and best practices throughout the product lifecycle. With over 9 years of experience in the biopharmaceutical industry, I have developed strong competencies in corrective and preventive action (CAPA), deviation management, validation, risk management, audit support, change control, ERP, and continuous improvement. I have a master's degree in manufacturing engineering and a bachelor's degree in biomedical engineering, as well as a certificate in supply chain and logistics. I am also certified as a quality auditor and a quality technician by ASQ, and speak Greek as a second language. My mission is to deliver safe, effective, and innovative gene therapies that can transform the lives of patients and their families.
