Publicly traded ultrasonics and wound care company (NASD: MSON.) I acted as Lead Director from 2016 to 2019, and Chairman of the Audit Committee from 2016 through its sale to Bioventus. During that tenure, with a new CEO and upgraded management team, a 12x increase in enterprise value drove a per share value increase of 5x.

Ximedica's large team of talented designers and engineers provide exceptional outsourced design and development services to the medical technology, pharmaceutical and diagnostics industries from start-ups to some of the largest companies in the world. I was recruited to the Board of Directors in July of 2020 and appointed the CEO in August 2020. After reconstituting the management team with internal candidates and an external CFO, our highly collaborative team revitalized the company's unique culture, added additional process discipline, streamlined operations, expanded revenues and quickly returned to profitability in less than six months. By enhancing communication internally, and with our clients, our project teams drove innovative solutions for more than 60 client projects at any one time while giving clients decision authority from project initiation to completion. Ximedica was purchased by Summit Partners sponsored entity Veranex, LLC in May 2021 as the first anchor asset in a med-tech services consolidation strategy.

I led a strategic and operational remake of this publicly traded (NASD: CASM) provider of critical care patient monitoring technologies ultimately increasing enterprise value 5x. The new management team transformed the company from a capital equipment business to a high-margin medical disposables company by divesting multiple legacy product lines and focusing on an innovative non-invasive cerebral and tissue oximetry product. Achieved 8 year revenue CAGR of 23% with recurring disposable product revenues representing 88% of total revenues. The company was purchased by Edwards Life Sciences in April 2019.

As an Advisor to this healthcare focused private equity fund with over $500 million in assets, I aided in medical products investment evaluations, and provided operational support and Board services to portfolio companies, including Genova Diagnostics and K2M among others.

Co-founded with two medical doctors/inventors this diagnostic start-up that developed an innovative platform technology for hematology protected by over 100 US and foreign patents and filings. Company was sold to Abbott Labs in 2008.

Led a turn-around of this patient monitoring company with expertise in oximetry, capnography and neonatal disposables until its sale to Respironics (now Philips.)
