Co-Founder And Strategic Integration ArchitectPace Integration May 2016 - PresentLondon, England, GbA key challenge today is how to Integrate your business applications in a seamless manner at a pace that supports the business strategy and priorities. The importance of an Integration Strategy as part of the overall IT strategy is often misunderstood or neglected, reducing the agility and performance of IT projects and business change. The business teams do not want to wait months (or weeks) to start using the best in class products and software that are now Cloud first. A key and essential enabler to this revolution, is ensuring you have a modern Integration Strategy that supports your core business integrations in a stable manner, that also drives flexibility and agility for the faster moving API world. As a co-founder of Pace Integration I work alongside clients in shaping their integration journey, helping them define and realise their integration goals. -
Workday Integration ArchitectConsulting To Unilever Sep 2014 - Apr 2016Blackfriars, London, GbThe Workday implementation at Unilever was at date the largest European rollout of Workday, with an overhaul of global employee core-hr services; promoting self-service and driving simplification through process and technology.I held responsibility for 150 interfaces across 105 countries, developing integration patterns, bringing delivery partners together, and ensuring the realization of project simplification drivers. The delivered solutions enabled the harmonization of distributed business processes across payroll, reward, recruitment, reporting, learning, finance, and wider employee service business areas. During the role I solved particular challenges around data encryption between on premise and cloud systems, and the management of hybrid integration patterns. Complexity ranged from pre-packaged connectors through to custom studio SAP integrations. All interfaces were aligned to Unilever’s broader Integration strategy and standards; and were approved by Security, CTO and the Integration CoE leadership. The integration design governance I managed was seen as critical to success of the overall programme, and therefore I was embedded in the remaining project phases to ensure consistency, and adherence to, design principles throughout implementation into operations. In this position I provided end-to-end integration delivery assurance between workstreams, partners, vendors and the wider business & IT teams for all integrations. Global Integration Solution DesignConsulting To Unilever Dec 2012 - Aug 2014Blackfriars, London, GbThe Global Integration Solution Design function was established to ensure design governance across projects globally, to assess their alignment to Unilever’s Integration strategy and standards, promoting reusable core solutions. The establishment of the team required the definition of new standards, processes and governance models embedded within the established innovation team. It required close working with CTO Enterprise Architects to define an updated Integration strategy to reflect evolving business drivers.A key part was providing Integration Solution governance which required supporting multiple global projects simultaneously across different business areas such as supply chain, customer development, master data, finance, and marketing. In my role as a Senior Architect, I would resolve complex integration challenges across a large landscape of on-premise, cloud and SaaS systems. I delivered Solution Designs and Strategic PoV (points of view) for over 35 projects.I also completed the integration assessment of RFPs, highlighting alignment to Integration Strategy, Standards, and delivery factors in order to reduce complexity and risk for implementations. For further details of achievements, please contact me. -
